Dr. Ashley L. Brown, is an IIRP Instructor, the Associate Dean of Students at Emory University, and a DEIB consultant for non-profit and for-profit organizations. She has over 10 years of experience working in higher education with a specialty focus on residence life, Greek life, student conduct, and multicultural affairs. Dr. Brown's professional and research interests are related to intercultural competency, art-based pedagogy, social justice education, and liberation pedagogy. She is a skilled professional with extensive experience using restorative practices in the field of education while helping organizations make institutional and cultural shifts in practice.
Ashley earned her Doctorate of Education in Student Affairs Leadership at the University of Georgia, Masters of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and Bachelor of Public Administration from Texas State University. Moreover, she is a certified Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory through IDI, LLC as well as trained in Narrative 4 and Intergroup Relations.
