Welcome to our program application page. We look forward to getting to know you!
We have rolling admissions and recommend that students apply based on the term in which they’d like to start.
- For fall, apply by July 1st.
- For spring, apply by November 1st.
- For summer, apply by April 1st.
Please note: Admitted students must enroll within the academic year for which they have been admitted.
Start your Application
Step 1:
Create a Student Portal account, then from the list below, select the program you want to apply to and follow the instructions.
Master of Science in Restorative Practices
Begin your application at least 60 days before registration opens for your ideal first term (fall, spring or summer).
Step 2:
To be considered by the Committee on Admission, applicants must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better.
Order official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the educational institution to This email address is being protected from spambots. In your Student Portal, upload your materials as a PDF:
- 1–2-page personal statement
- CV/resumé
- Three letters of recommendation with the graduate school recommendation form attached
- Optional: A candidate for admission may also submit qualifying test scores, either recent GRE® (code 2589), Miller Analogies Test (code 4030), PRAXIS PPST (code 2323), or PRAXIS Core (code 5751) scores.
Students from outside of the US:
If you received your degree outside the United States: all transcripts and academic credentials of all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended must be evaluated on a course-by-course basis by any organization approved by National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) and sent directly to the IIRP from that organization.
International applicants are required to demonstrate fluency in English unless they have received a bachelor's or master's degree from an institution in the following countries: Australia, Belize, British Caribbean and British West Indies, Canada (except Quebec), England, Guyana, Republic of Ireland, Liberia, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the United States and Wales. An applicant must submit scores from either the TOEFL®: Test of English as a Foreign Language (code 2589) or the Duolingo English Test or IELTS™: International English Language Testing System. The scores must not be more than two years old and must be sent directly from the testing agency to the IIRP. See the Academic Catalog for further information.

Take a breather! The admissions committee has a maximum of 14 days to review and respond to your application. We’ll let you know when we hear from them.
Candidates for admission may be asked by the Admissions Committee for a personal interview, or additional supporting documents.
Master of Science in Restorative Practices plus Thesis Option

- A 4-6 page paper, formatted in APA style, that describes your research background (academic preparation or professional experience) and your specific research area of interest accompanied by a brief narrow-scope literature review relevant to that potential research area. You may download a suggested template for your thesis option application.
