Robert Oliver, Ed.D.

Lecturer

Dr. Robert Oliver is a highly experienced mental health specialist, psychotherapist, counselor and education administrator, working with youth and families. A Master Trainer for Aggression Replacement Training®, an evidence-based intervention for aggressive adolescents and children, Robert is a principal in Education and Treatment Alternatives, Inc., which provides training in that model nationally and internationally.

Robert has published 13 books and articles in peer-reviewed journals, including several for Reclaiming Children and Youth. He has also served as Chief Educational Officer of Perseus House Charter School of Excellence, in Erie, Pennsylvania, as Assistant Superintendent of Erie School District and an adjunct professor of education at Gannon and Edinboro universities.

He has been a foster parent to 38 adjudicated delinquent or dependent adolescents with a wide range of problems. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, as well as an Administration Certificate from Edinboro University, a Guidance Certificate from Gannon University and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University.
