Dawn Schantz has more than 30 years of experience in Pennsylvania’s juvenile justice system, from Juvenile Probation Officer to counselor with the IIRP model program, Community Service Foundation. In 2015, she became Pennsylvania’s Motivational Interviewing Consultant, responsible for overseeing the design, organization and coordination of the implementation of that practice in local jurisdictions across the Commonwealth.
Dawn has supported implementation of Motivational Interviewing into the IIRP's model restorative programs in settings that include schools, foster homes and evening reporting centers.
Dawn holds a Bachelor in Criminal Justice from Moravian College and a Master in Restorative Practices and Youth Counseling from the IIRP Graduate School.
She enjoys yoga, camping and spending time with her family.
